Spazju Kreattiv Cinema runs a rolling autumn arthouse programme, with confirmed new openings on 10, 11, 13, 16 and 24 September 2026. The 10 September opening is Pedro Almodovar's latest, listed by the venue as Bitter Christmas, screening at 19:30.
This is Malta's only dedicated arthouse screen, inside a 16th-century artillery cavalier that also houses galleries and a theatre-in-the-round. It is a good rainy-evening or too-hot-afternoon option five minutes from most Valletta hotels, and the building itself is worth the walk.
Tickets are sold per screening via spazjukreattiv.org. Gallery exhibitions at Spazju Kreattiv are generally free to enter while the cinema is ticketed. Some listings and synopses appear in Maltese only, so check the film's language and subtitles when booking.
